Engaged: Laura and Dayson

On Sunday I had the extreme pleasure of meeting up with Laura and Dayson at Red Hills Farms for some engagement photos. As soon as we pulled up to Red Hills, I could see why Laura loved working there and why Dayson chose it as the spot to propose to Laura. The grounds are breathtaking. It’s the kind of place where you feel like putting roots down and staying a while. I’m already making plans to go back to this awesome spot and do some olive oil tasting and picnicking with Matt. I really can’t wait for Laura and Dayson’s wedding coming up next month! Thanks for such a wonderful afternoon!!!

Stargazer Weddings + The Oregon Bride

On Friday I posted a little sneak peek of a lovely styled shoot organized by the fabulous Ashley of Stargazer Weddings. Below are just some of my favorites from the shoot as well as the complete list of the creative team involved. Not only did we have a full styled wedding to photograph, we had a lovely REAL engaged couple on site, ready to pose and dance and let us take tons of photos of them! I will be posting their photos soon. For now, I focused on the wedding aspect of the shoot. Our real life couple Elissa and Malcolm have been married for almost four years and they were simply lovely to work with. The theme of the shoot was all things OREGON. LOVE IT!

A huge thank you to everyone who made this event possible. You all made my day by filling it with beautiful things to photograph!

Sneak Peek: the Oregon Bride

Yesterday I had the pleasure of participating in a gorgeous stylized bridal shoot coordinated by Ashley Lacer of Stargazer Weddings. Along with incredible vendors from around Oregon and some of my favorite photographers, we enjoyed the gorgeous setting at Rouge Farms Micro Hopyard. Don’t worry I’ll be posting more photos soon along with the complete list of the contributing vendors! What a lovely way to end this sunny week!

Thursday Thankfulness

I’ve spent a lot of time in the car this week. Driving here and there. For brithday’s and business and groceries. I usually listen to music while I drive (and sing obnoxiously loud to every song. even the ones I don’t know). Then there are times when I turn the music off and enjoy the silence. Today I started thinking about what I am thankful for. Below in no particular order is what I came up with.

-friends who stick around and stand up for me.
-sheer curtains that move in the breeze.
-SUNSHINE.
-when Husband prays for me.
-the big kitchen in my otherwise small apartment.

What are you thankful for this gorgeous spring day? Let me know in the comment section below, I’d love to hear your thoughts!

The Beach House I Never Wanted To Leave

Just a few days before we moved I had the pleasure of hanging out in Lincoln City with some awesome photographers for the annual PDX Click Chicks Beach Retreat. We shared stories, set goals, played late night Apples-to-Apples, and “talked shop” in the hot tub. I came away from the weekend feeling encouraged. How amazing to know I’m surrounded by such lovely and generous peers. I am a better photographer for knowing these women. I love it. Here’s a little glimpse into our weekend.
